Why SERViNG?

Jesus calls his followers to be different, to be set apart from the ways of the world.  In Mathew 20, He clearly aligns leadership with servant.  SERViNGLEADERZ is about being servant leaders.  We focus on the verb form of servant – to serve.  It’s action-oriented.  And the small i, well we think that’s obvious.

Why a Z and not an S?

This isn’t a gimmick to us; it’s an everyday awareness of and commitment to the matters of God.

At SERViNGLEADERZ, we’re committed to ushering to earth the nature and ways of God.  We believe we create God’s shining city on a hill right here on earth through our leadership behaviors.  We place a “z” instead of an “s” on the end of SERViNGLEADERZ to continually remind us we bring the essence of Zion, the city where God dwells, to the world in which we live.  SERViNGLEADERZ are His vehicle for that to happen.

Time for a change

The power and independence-driven, me-centered, results-only, leadership of our time is outmoded and ineffective.  Pause and reflect on the past 10 years in American history and you know the accepted leadership practices of today are not working.   And, while we were unaware, often those worldly leadership beliefs and practices crept into our faith organizations.

SERViNGLEADERZ is about helping faith organizations fully live into their missions.  To make that possible, we believe the servant leadership spoken and modeled by Jesus is the only leadership example to follow.  We help faith organizations become great servant leaders so they carry the leadership of Jesus into the world.
